TORONTO. June 26, 2024. Machine Learning X Doing founder Kweku Opoku-Agyemang has been awarded a prestigious bounty award by Astera Institute for his innovation, which includes building adaptive control systems for biological impact. His innovative submission titled “Modular Bioreactor Systems for Scalable Synthetic Biology” can be read here.

Kweku Opoku-Agyemang’s concept addresses a critical challenge in the field of synthetic biology: the need for flexibility and scale in fermentation systems. His proposal outlines a modular bioreactor system that can be easily reconfigured to accommodate various synthetic biology applications, ensuring optimal growth conditions and product yields.

Some features of the proposed system include:

Adaptive Control Systems: Real-time adjustments to environmental parameters based on sensor feedback.

Scalable Architecture: The ability to expand production capacity by adding more modules.

Integrated Data Analysis: Software for optimizing conditions and predicting outcomes.
